Utility Health Score
Pick one of 11 plant utilities, enter the readings you can measure, and get a weighted 0–100 score with the readings that pulled it down, suggested next checks and dated trends. Leave a field empty to skip a reading you cannot take.
Readings — Fire Fighting Systems
Ideal bands are typical illustrations; verify with the OEM manual. Leave a field empty to skip it.
Ideal: 3–6 · Acceptable: 2–8 · Weight 5 · critical. Fire header gauge; compare with the hydraulic design.
Ideal: 90–100 · Acceptable: 70–100 · Weight 5 · critical. Tank level indicator.
Ideal: 0–6 · Acceptable: 0–15 · Weight 2. Many starts suggest a leak or a passing valve.
Ideal: 95–105 · Acceptable: 80–110 · Weight 4. Main/diesel pump test result; follow NFPA 25 or local rules.
Ideal: 90–100 · Acceptable: 70–100 · Weight 3. Engine fuel tank gauge.
Ideal: 12.5–13.5 · Acceptable: 12–14 · Weight 3. Starter batteries at rest.
Ideal: 0–7 · Acceptable: 0–31 · Weight 5 · critical. Weekly test record; an overdue test is critical.
Ideal: 95–100 · Acceptable: 80–100 · Weight 4. Coverage of the inspection programme.
Ideal: 1–1 · Acceptable: 1–1 · Weight 5 · critical. Enter 1 for pass, 0 for fail. Test without impairing protection.
Enter readings and calculate a score. Empty fields are skipped and noted in the result.
How the score works
Each parameter has an ideal band (green, 100 points) inside an acceptable band (amber, 50–99 points, scaled). Beyond the acceptable band the reading turns red (0–49 points). Parameters carry weights from 1 to 5, so a weighted average decides the overall score: Healthy 80+, Watch 60–79, At risk 40–59, Critical below 40. If any critical parameter — marked with an asterisk — turns red, the overall score is capped at 49 and the result shows “Critical attention needed”, because a critical reading such as a low fire-water tank or out-of-band boiler-water chemistry is more urgent than the average suggests.
Parameters marked “design” score against a design value you enter instead of the generic band — for example, your consent COD limit, your machine’s rated heat rate or your chiller’s design head pressure. Skipped readings are excluded and the result states how many parameters were used, so a score built on three readings is visibly weaker evidence than one built on ten.
The seeded bands are typical industry illustrations and each one is labelled “verify with the OEM manual”. The owner edits every band, weight and critical flag in the tool settings without code changes. Free accounts save 3 checks per day; Professional accounts save unlimited checks with full history, trend charts and PDF export. A green score never certifies equipment condition and never replaces OEM limits, permits or site procedures.
