Inspect a gauge, nameplate, alarm screen or damaged part with a photo. Findings are estimates—not permission to restart equipment.

Reading a photograph responsibly
A photograph captures one moment and one angle. Reflections, a cropped scale, a damaged label or a blurred display can make a reading unreliable. Record the actual instrument value on site, including its units and whether the pressure is absolute or gauge. A nameplate rating is not necessarily the present operating value.
Possible causes are ranked from visible evidence, not a full inspection. A leaking joint may need isolation before anyone approaches it, and a stopped machine may still contain electrical or pressure energy. Compare the finding with alarm history and the exact equipment manual. Stop if the evidence is incomplete or the work requires live electrical, refrigerant, combustion or pressure-system access.
Free accounts have three scan attempts per UTC day. Professional accounts have unlimited scans. Photos are compressed in your browser and sent only on Scan; original photos are not retained. Saved Reports copies remain in this browser, while private findings belong to your account.
Guidance only. Follow manufacturer limits and site procedures; hazardous work requires qualified personnel.
